Where did the idea for GROWO come from?

Eiwo GmbH is one of Germany’s leading suppliers of egg products and other raw materials for bakeries. The vehicle fleet used for delivering our products has grown over the years to 15 truck/trailers today. You may very well have seen one of our trucks in their blue and yellow livery and bearing the Eiwo logo.

Reliability, punctuality and safety in supplying our customers have absolute top priority for us. This gives rise to very exacting demands with regard to the equipment and servicing/maintenance of our vehicles. And it applies in particular to the tyres – punctures and other tyre defects are something we cannot afford.

So Eiwo GmbH has a heavy demand for truck tyres. However, branded tyres from the major European manufacturers are expensive. And reconditioned tyres – as we have found to our expense in practical use – are not compatible with our quality standards. So what other alternative is there?

On a visit to China a couple of years ago, we were able to see for ourselves that tyres of excellent quality are available there at very favourable prices. And even with the costs of import, they still well worth it. Since that time, our Eiwo vehicle fleet has been running on these tyres. And to sum up our experience: A difference in quality to European branded goods is virtually indiscernible; the cost saving, on the other hand, is substantial.

Our offer

And so we thought: Why should we not give other firms the opportunity to enjoy the same benefits? And this gave rise to the idea of our GROWO Shop, which we are now presenting here.

Please use the menu bar on the left to inform yourself of our range of tyres, the prices and the technical details. We will deliver the tyres to you on Euro-pallets in return for advance payment. Each of the types of tyre we offer is also in use on Eiwo trucks. We can therefore pledge for the quality of the tyres based on our own experience. And even with heavy truck loads, the wear is still low.
